A work in progress about the life of the biblical figure Hagar, her trials and hardships and her relationship with her slavers and family. The only woman to name God in the Torah, the mother of Ishmael (an important figure in Islam and the Quran) and today used as a symbolic representation and allegory of refugees worldwide, she is an important, yet often forgotten figure from the scriptures.
In my game I hope to understand a bit more about her and her thoughts, her motivations and why she acted the way she did.
Currently the game is in its earliest phases of developing game mechanics and creating a solid frame work for a fun game before I will focus on the content.
At this time I am studying the Torah with commentary both in debate with both Christian and jewish individuals, communities and this website which allows me to view rabbinical commentary parallel to reading.
