Made for the “games class game jam II” in June 2020.
A game that was made primarily as a proof of concept and for learning how to code for aesthetics. The theme is police brutality and the blm movement and it is designed to be a bit of an educational game.
Made on a tight deadline, the priority was not length but instead flow (pun intended) and an easy concept that was easy to control and grasp. A five minute experience that made people think “that’s pretty” and swim around a bit longer for fun.
I experimented with movement randomisation until the following orbs gained a feeling of autonomous movement. Adding in particle effects that flow just right and tail effects, I made this little game about collecting the orbs and bringing them to their homes in the sky.
