Picrew is a website where you can make and play dress up style games.
Jewish Tzniut Fashion
Tznius fashion in a jewish fashion style that emphasises modesty. In modern times the word primarily is used to describe an ideal way for modest women to dress (primarily but not exclusively in orthodox jewish circles). It rejects nudity. How it looks exactly depends on the culture surrounding the wearer, but generally more covering fashion is chosen, with a lot of people covering their hair too.
I prefer to wear modest clothing myself, covering my head in public and wearing long sleeves and trousers when possible. But modest fashion does not find a lot of representation in dress up fashion games (or games in general for that matter). So I made this Picrew, focusing on allowing for a variety of hair types, skin tones and body types, as well as a selection of modest fashion, accessories and colors.
This project was made in dialogue with some of the jewish tznius twitter community.
Abstract Art Picrew
I have a confession to make: I am not very good at making abstract art.
So why not let it randomise?
Using a Dress Up Game tool to make abstract art was an idea that came up in class and I ran with it.
