A German project that interviews eight disabled artists about how the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020/2021 affected them. Each artist photographed one object that meant a lot to them during the pandemic or that gained a new meaning in that time. For a unified look, they wanted an illustrator to draw each object for the posters.
I was asked to join the team and do the illustrations and graphic design for the project, resulting in 8 DIN A2 posters that would be hung in a shopping center in Berlin (Neuköllner Arkaden) as an art installation.
The team behind the project:
Michaela Englert und Dirk Sorge: Idea, conception and coordination
Alena Kühn: Consultation and organisation
Joshua Gundlach: Illustrations and graphic design
The artists interviewed:
Adidas, Annton, Gee Vero, Gerald Pirner, Katrin Dinges, Steven Solbrig, Tamara Rettenmund, Torsten Holzapfel
