A Mushroom With a Purpose

The protagonist is a wingless mushroom fairy.

With her in progress name Mia, a homage to the wonderful Mia’s Adventures by Kutoka, the protagonist’s design is based around mushrooms, irish fairy folklore and mice. All little beings that live in and around trees.

A Tree in Trouble

The tree Mia inhabits is in trouble. It is spring, but its leaves are turning yellow and its branches are falling. Mia looses her house, a little nest made of leaves in the crown of the tree.

She initially plans to flee and search for a new tree, but the bugs she meets along the way let her know there might be a way to save her home if she traverses down to the roots. The tree’s sickness is sapping her powers away too. If she can heal the tree she can heal herself.

A Mushroom Fairy on Exploration

Mia’s abilities are limited at the start of the game, but they increase the further she travels down in the tree and the more she mends it.

In this point and click adventure, Mia has two primary abilities: Sense and collect magical fragments, that over time reinstate her abilities, and using her magical mycelium to mend and traverse the tree.
